The main portion of this lecture will explain the appellate process and (I hope) tie together the previous lectures in such a way that you understand the legal process from beginning to end.
Materials: Review Miller & Jentz, Chapter 2 (Dispute Resolution) and read my summary. Also read this summary on briefing a court opinion. These are the slides for the lecture. The lecture itself will be available as a downloadable file during and after the TTh 12-2 class meeting.
